fires. What are the Harmful Effects of PM? Particulate

matter contains microscopic solids or liquid droplets

that are so small that they can be inhaled and cause

serious health problems. Particles less than 10

micrometers in diameter pose the greatest problems,

because they can get deep into your lungs, and some

may even get into your bloodstream.

How can we make our air become cleaner? We

can walk more or take the bus and drive less. We can

also reduce garbage by reusing many things such as

plastic bags. Another way to keep the air cleaner and

cooler is to reduce the use of air conditioning. When

we turn on the air conditioner, the cool air goes into

your room, but the hot air goes out. The result is the

temperature rises and the Earth becomes hotter. How

can we change this? I don’t want to get sunstroke every

day. We can open the window, I know it would not be

as cool as the AC, but if every household and every
