power doesn’t go out, you can sit and watch TV, read a



                   book, or play video games!


                           You’ll never guess what I did!I baked!



                           Baking is a passion I share with my dad. It’s also a


                   way for me to relax when I feel stressed out from



                   schoolwork. With a drop of this and a splash of that, I


                   can make anything into the most mouth-watering



                   goodies. It truly is magic.


                           So while the wind blew and the rain pounded



                   from Typhoon Maggie, me and my dad were having fun


                   measuring, sifting, whisking, and stirring; making our



                   favorite dessert, chocolate chip cookies. We made


                   cookie dough into small dough balls, placed them on



                   the tray, then into the oven to bake. While I stared


                   eagerly into the oven, the power suddenly went out.



                   “Oh, no! My cookies!” I screamed. Luckily, the power


                   came back on in just a few minutes. So I resumed my



                   position in front of the oven and watched the dough
