balls as they slowly expanded and the room filled with
the smell of vanilla and buttery chocolate.
Finally, the timer on the oven made its wonderful
sound. Buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz! It’s time to eat! For the next
30 minutes, all I can hear was, “Oh my god, it’s so
good!” “Awesome cookies” “The best in the world!” “I
know I shouldn’t, but just one more!” and laughter. I
can’t imagine anything else better to do on a typhoon
day! “Thank you, Typhoon Maggie” I thought as I took
another big bite of our homemade chocolate chip
cookie. The happy memory will stay with me and my
family forever.
