when I started to watch NBA games, Lin unexpectedly
led a winning turnaround with the New York Knicks,
which generated a global following trend known as
“Linsanity”. He is living proof that as long as we have
the passion and the dedication, our hard work can pay
off, and may one day be seen and recognized by the
public.
My dad was my first basketball teacher. He used
to play basketball with me and teach me some basic
skills on holidays. Sometimes, I would have a game with
other children who were about my age. Now, I am
getting better and would like to practice more, so as
soon as I began the fifth grade, my friends and I started
a basketball team at Wenhua. My team members and
I train ourselves EVERY morning before class from 7:00
to 7:25. I don’t mind coming to school EARLY in the
morning because I can tell that my basic skills have
improved a lot, such as dribbling, defense and
