everyone knew that I’m willing to listen to

them. However, unless I really needed to, I

would not implement any changes until I fully

understood what those changes would affect.

I believe being a principal as an

underappreciated job filled with many difficult

problems. It’s also a job that my decision can

impact that future lives of thousands of people.

Therefore, the only pre-emptive action I would

take in my first year is to make sure my heart is

strong enough to accept all of this.
