Hello everyone. My name is Edward. The
field I have chosen to talk about is mathematics.
It is the science that deals with the logic of
shapes, quantities and the arrangements.
There are two interesting math stories I’d like
to share. One story is about Archimedes’
principle. One day, Archimedes’ king asked
him to examine if his new gold crown is pure,
but he could not melt the crown. Then, while he
was taking a bath, he observed the change of
water and had a sudden inspiration. In his
excitement, he shouted “Eureka! Eureka!”
which means “I found it! I found it!”
Archimedes used that to prove the crown was
not pure gold. Engineers use Archimedes
